Jari Huttunen and Mikko Lukka won the overall classification of Rally Śląska 2020. The Hyundai i20 R5 crew defeated Grzegorz Grzyb and Michał Poradzisz (Skoda Fabia R5 Evo) by 7.3 seconds. Tomasz Kasperczyk and Damian Syty (Volkswagen Polo R5) stood on the lowest step of the podium. They lost more than half a minute to the winners. This is the second victory of the season for the Finnish driver.
Our clients from BTH Rally Team, Łukasz Kotarba and Tomasz Kotarba finished fifth on this rally, and with 34 points after this rally they are currently on fourth place in the seasonal Polish Rally Championship classification.
Rally Śląska was also a round of the Historic Polish Rally Championship (HRSMP). Motul HRSMP series raced for the third time on routes of southern Poland and for the third time the fastest crew in the FIA 4 / J2 category turned out to be Robert Luty and Marcin Celiński. Such a good form of the current champions should not come as a surprise, but the Subaru Legacy crew proved to be the fastest during each edition of the Rally Śląska organized as part of the Motul HRSMP in the past. Before the start of the competition, Luty emphasized that he did not intend to put any pressure on himself.
The GO+ Cars rally team which was serviced by us, Grzegorz Olchawski and Szymon Marciniak (Audi Quattro, Historic Open 4WD class), ended the rally in a strong second place.
